Prof. Silvia Azucena Nebra is visitant professor at the Federal University of ABC – Center of Engineering, Modeling and Social Sciences (CECS/UFABC), and researcher at the Interdisciplinary Center of Energy Planning of the State University of Campinas (NIPE/UNICAMP). Retired Professor of the Energy Department, Mechanical Engineering Faculty, UNICAMP (1980 – 2005). Research areas: diagnosis / integration/ optimization of thermal systems particularly in the Brazilian industry of sugar-ethanol, disposal / use of urban solid waste. Doctoral degree in Mechanical Engineering (1985, UNICAMP). Merit Award Zeferino Vaz (UNICAMP, 1996), Merit Award for the whole work, ECOS CONFERENCE (2019). Head of Energy Department (FEM-UNICAMP) for two periods (1987-89; 1991-93). Coordinator of the Specialization Course in Natural Gas Engineering (1999- 2004).
